Signatures and receipts

Four ways to get a signature, what is on the receipt, and the QR code.

Ways to get a signature

  • Draw it on the screen with a finger or a stylus.
  • Type the name on the screen.
  • Sign on paper. Print the receipt, have the customer sign it, and mark the sale as signed on paper.
  • Send the customer a link so they can sign on their own phone. You can do this for any sale, even one from last week.

If a customer signs in the store and then signs again from the link, both are saved. The sale shows the one they signed on their phone.

What gets saved

The signature is saved with the sale, along with the time, the name and the terms the customer agreed to.

The receipt

The receipt shows your store details, the items and prices, the delivery fee, the tax, the total, how it was paid, any amount still owed, and the signature. Each receipt has a short code made of letters and numbers. You can print a receipt, email it, save it as a picture or send a link. To send one again later, open the sale in Sales.

The QR code

Each receipt can have a QR code. When the customer scans it, they go to a page you choose, like your Google reviews or your website. You pick that page in Settings.
